Despite the title of this instalment, «Asesino en una playa de Londres» (Murder on a London beach), the plot actually takes place on the Tenerife coast, with a new case for the central character of this novel, inspector Marfa Anchieta, who must investigate the crime of a British citizen. The novel is also a landscape journey across the different places where the story unfolds, since it describes the environment with special emphasis on certain spaces.
In the words of the writer of this crime novel herself: «I think there is something else in the novel, there is a lot of good architecture, art and natural beauty, a lot of real landscape from places I have visited». In «Asesino en una playa de Londres» you will meet several female characters who represent women nowadays. It is not only about Inspector Anchieta (main character), but also about Salma Kubichet or Commissioner Marina.
